• My wife recently purchased an Ultra Light electric guitar for my 40th Birthday. I am contacting you to let you know that I am extremely pleased with it. It is all the things you expect, namely very light and compact, making taking it away from home easy. However, it plays extremely well. The action is excellent and the guitar feels like a top end electric guitar when playing. This I have to say took me by suprise. I recently purchased a 360 Rickenbacker and the action on this guitar is comparable. The Ultra Light title therefore only tells half the story; it is also a brilliant electric guitar. • Recently ordered & received item in less than a week... all the way from East Sussex to the US East Coast, no less! Great service from this company also. There was a small technical mishap by Google Shopping in calculating the proper shipping cost (was no selection for US shipping in their pull-down menu), but that was rectified quickly (via email notification) by the staff at Play Away Guitars. A simple follow-up request later & all was taken care of. Item was shipped well & received with no problems or damage. Great combo deal of the upright kit with the purchase of the instrument too! • Best piece of music technology i have purchased... This guitar is absolutely amazing. I have top quality Sennheiser headphones which make everything including this sound great. Cheap headphones don’t cut it on this thing. I am getting used to playing it as the balance is a little strange and you can’t slap it but I absolutely love it. It also sounds just amazing through an acoustic amp. So clean and tight. I am absolutely stoked with this guitar... Thanks heaps Patrick. • This is a quick email to thank the staff at Playaway guitars who gave me a first class level of customer service during my recent purchase of a Traveller EG1 Vintage Gold. The information and advice on my first phone call to Playaway was nothing short of superb. I know lots about guitars, but little about travel guitars and Playaway were able to answer all my questions in a professional, friendly and informative manner.
  The guitar turned up on the delivery day stated and it came out of the box in perfect condition. It needed a slight bit of tuning as the strings had some stretch left in them but once done the set up of the Vintage gold was pretty much perfect. Intonation wise it was spot on. Hard to fault this little guitar, it certainly is very striking looking and the neck is faultless. All in all a great experience and I would have no hesitation recommending Playaway guitars. • Just a quick email to say how happy I am with my brand new Lunchbox. This little amp rocks! None of that wasps in a jar effect that you often get with smaller amps. It's a fantastic piece of kit - many thanks for stocking it and for selling them at a fair price in comparison with the dollar cost. I was pleasantly surprised by how well this amp pumps out sound. Clean is great and there is a good crunch. I did turn it up to 11 a couple of times and it is plenty loud. I like the way that the manual cautions you about using a popper stopper or windshield when miking it up. Like you said, the bag is a must for carrying it around. • Just wanted to drop you a quick line to let you know how happy I am with the EG1 that you sent me. My upcoming big trip will be the acid test but I must say I am very impressed with the build quality, feel and sound of the guitar so far. The neck and board feel great and that uncovered humbucker sure is a lively one. The whole guitar really rings out acoustically, a sure sign it's well put together. I am going to change the strings this weekend (been putting if off) and will stick some fret doctor on the board and tinker with the action a touch but that's just me being pedantic - the guitar was set up very nicely straight out of the box. • I am writing to confirm that the SoloEtte arrived as promised. As you said it is a lovely looking instrument. The sound through the headphones is extraordinary- obviously electronic in source, very rich and detailed.  As a classical player, that is no bad thing because every fret buzz or duff note seem to be emphasised.  Thereby lies the way to improvement, because there is a tendency in classical players to be so intent on playing the right note from the music that imperfections in sound become secondary, I think.  The Soloette makes them obvious.  And it is such a joy to play....easy action, and it fits in the hands perfectly.
